Hi, I’m Alanoud Alsalem

01 / Amman, Jordan
Where I’m from is why I build.
I grew up in Amman, surrounded by a community whose generosity shaped the way I see the world — founders who gave hours to help me navigate my own startup, friends who found opportunities for me before I thought to ask, a family that endlessly fostered my curiosity.
Their altruism became my guiding purpose: to dedicate my love for building to the people around me — starting with family and friends, and extending to the wider community and to Jordan as a whole.
· The adventurer
An adventurer at heart.
I’m an adventurer at heart — and I think that’s what makes me love building. I love the thrill of discovering something new: experimenting with ideas, materials, components, science. The mind venturing into inquiry and thought is what drives my pursuit of knowledge and my hunger to create.
It makes me restless to try very different things, exploring ideas at the intersections of interdisciplinary subjects. The meeting of engineering and creativity, math and art, truly inspires me — so in my projects I like to incorporate both, to indulge in the true beauty of their synergy.
Right now I’m exploring computing, AI, product design, robotics, and more — paving my path forward through projects and sharing what I learn, so I can grow from feedback and find people to build with.
02 / Selected work
Where engineering meets creativity.
Projects and research at the intersections I love — hardware and AI, 3D and math, the model in the loop and the device in your hand.

On-edge hardware accelerator for CNN inference
Graduation projectGraduation project: a RISC-V on-edge video-inference pipeline for the X3D CNN — quantization and real-time streaming on a PolarFire SoC, with a 3D systolic-array kernel that offloads the CNN bottlenecks onto FPGA fabric.

Cory Technologies — 3D capture, from research to prototype
Technical co-founder. Led R&D across 3D rendering pipelines, photogrammetry and LiDAR, and shipped a working prototype in Unity. Secured $21,000 in pre-seed funding through competitive pitching.

Machine learning for photovoltaic fault detection
Research assistant — one of two undergraduates selected. Trained deep-learning models from scratch and via transfer learning to diagnose photovoltaic faults from thermographic images.
03 / Experience
Building in very different rooms.
A few years across technical co-founding, ed-tech and operations — from a deep-tech startup to a school’s back office, same instinct to build.
